The Joy of Sunshine

I snapped this photo on a car ride, when the sun was streaming in the window, and my son was just enjoying the moment.  I can relate, I enjoy sunshine too!!  This layout uses papers from The Robin's Nest, along with lots of Want2Scrap (of course!)
The background of layout is a 7x7 Denim sheet on a sheet of The Robin's Nest Paper. I LOVE the Denim-on-grey colors!
I started this chipboard treatment with a layer of gesso.  Once that dried, I added a little stippling with brown ink, the covered it with clear embossing powder and heat set it for a glossy look.  I then added the clock rub-on and distressed it with a distressing tool.  The word was painted blue, then treated with the same brown ink and embossing powder as the white.  I love the texture this creates!
Thanks for coming by to take a peek!

Thinking of you

Hi all, AJ here to share another card using some fabulous Want2Scrap bling!

For my card today I am using the Labels One Nestabling and Baby Bling pearls.

I started with my stamped image from Gina K Designs, and chose the S4-161 Labels One Nestabilites for my focal point.  I stamped the image and sentiment, and then adhered the largest Nestabling from the Labels One Nestabling Green Rhinestones set onto my die cut.

I adhered a few Baby Bling purple pearls beneath the sentiment before attaching to my card front.  I love the baby bling pearls and rhinestones, they are the perfect size to add that finishing touch to any project!

"Oh Brave Souls" ATCs: by Wendy Morris

Hi All!
Wendy here with my ATC share for ya'!

I'm excited to kick off designing for Want2Scrap as an altered art/mixed media artist
so this first project of ATCs are right up my alley
and
 such wonderful "mini" creations!

Plus, Want2Scrap has some pretty fab
that is all ready for you to work out some creativity!

I've created two to share and they are themed together as
 "Oh Brave Souls".

I used Want2Scrap bling, pearls, ATC board, ATC canvas
and some fab paper from The Robin's Nest that you can find here.

Be sure to check out my full supply list at the end of this post.

ATC #1: "Wings"

On this one, I dragged a pink pigment ink pad across the W2S canvas ATC.
I layered & attached the canvas ATC over a chipboard ATC for support.
Attach a torn piece of text paper from The Robin's Nest.
Stamped a set of angel wings.
Then, I added an additional set of metal angel wings for dimension and texture.
What's an ATC without some splashes of Want2Scrap pearls and bling
Ha!

A bit of messy scratches of pink acrylic paint scratched here.
Randomly stamped a partial quote on a label and attached to bottom of ATC.

ATC #2: "Be Brave"

Misted some pink spritz on the paper from The Robin's Nest.
Stamped "be brave" on the tab attached to the top of the ATC.
Then, I added an eclectic touch of a fractured resin doll.

Randomly "triple stamped" a woman icon shape in the corner.
Then, to finish off with some splashes of Want2Scrap pearls and bling.

As previous designers here have shared, we are having
a very special & exciting event happening around the corner!
[an event that hits close to home for me...]

More details are coming soon....

Hope you enjoyed my ATC share!

Seaside Friends by Joe Morgan

For my artist trading card, I wanted to create this under sea scene after getting some inspiration from a piece of Robin’s Nest paper that reminded me of ocean waves.

I started off with one of Want2Scrap’s Chipboard ATC’s. I love the weight of these and they are nice and thick so they don’t bend when you put glue or paint on them. I covered the ATC with Zip Dry adhesive to adhere my piece of Robin’s Nest paper. I wanted my background to be glossy, but not as glossy as the mermaid, so I covered the Robin’s Nest paper with PPA Gloss which gives a nice glossy, but satin like finish depending on how you apply it. After that, I inked the edges with a Charcoal Cat’s Eye ink pad from Clearsnap.

For the mermaid, I used a Stampendous cling stamp, and colored with Copic markers. Then I cut out the mermaid and covered her with Sakura Crystal Lacquerand set aside to dry. If you’re wondering, the seahorse is part of the mermaid stamp.

For the word Friends, I used Want2Scrap’s Chipboard Sentiments – Words of Love. First, I covered the word with pearl colored acrylic paint, and then used alcohol inks to add color, and then a light coat of clear crackle paint to finish it off. I also used the same colors of alcohol ink to dab a little matching color on the bottom part of my ATC to make my ocean floor.

After all of my pieces were ready, I used some more Crystal Lacquer to adhere the mermaid the the ATC, and then the word friends on top of the mermaid.

To finish my ATC, I used bling from two different packs of Want2Scrap bling. I used Maxxi Girl Swirls in Brown and the Finesse Swirls in the new LeCreme Pearls color. The mermaid stamp showed her with a braid or string tied around her hair with seashells on it. I covered that with the brown rhinestones and some of the LeCreme Pearls. I just cut off what I needed and placed them one at a time. I also put some down in the sand as well as a couple of large swirls to show the movement of the water. I just happen to love mermaids and seahorses, so I had a great time making this.

Happy Mothers Day

Hey everyone- AJ here with a Want2Scrap Mothers Day card.
Mothers day will be here before you know it, and I am early for once!

My card for today uses Want2Scrap's Lattice Rectangles Nestabling in Eggplant pearl, and Baby Bling pearls in white.

For my card, I used Spellbinders Lattice Rectangles as my starting point.  I die cut and embossed the white cardstock with the largest of the die templates.

*tip, I found it is extremely easy to adhere your Nestabling to your die cut by simply removing the Nestabling from the backing, laying it face DOWN (sticky side up) onto your workspace, and then laying your die cut on top of the adhesive.  Since they are created for the dies, you can see right through where the need to go and they line up perfectly!

I stamped the flowers using Clearsnaps pigment and chalk inks to create a shadow effect, and the sentiment in black ink.  To adhere the card to the die cut, I simply cut a 3 1/4 X 4" piece of cardstock folded over and attached to the middle of the die.

I finished the card off with the baby bling white pearls beneath the sentiment.

The Magic of Oz...Bling Style

Did you ever wonder if the Tin Man got his heart, well I think all the Tin Man needs is a little bling and he can find that at Want2Scrap© as they have all the bling he will ever need and an Oil Can Album made of chipboard just like the one you see here.
Want2Scrap© and Graphic 45 are a perfect match when it comes to creating these amazing chipboard album, for this album I used The Magic of Oz paper collection, it was perfect for the oil can album. after all who doesn't just love The Wizard of Oz? On the front of the album I used the Funky Swirls Silver Rhinestones and the 72 count Black Pearls.
Here we have the Scarecrow, all he wanted was a brain when he went to see the Wizard, well I gave him some bling to brighten his day, what do you think?
Doesn't he look better walking through all of those poppy's with some bling?

Dorothy had the most amazing ruby slippers, I remember as a kid I wanted a pair just like her, I just added some Want2Scrap© Baby Red Rhinestones to give her slippers a little more sparkle. I also added some Nestabling™ Petite Scalloped Circle Silver Rhinestones and Nestabling™ Classic Diamonds. TIP: I used the Classic Diamond to outline like a frame on this page, you can do the same thing on your projects, it is quick and easy especially if you can't find just the right bling, create your own with Want2Scrap©.

See how the  Nestabling™ Petite Scalloped Circle Silver Rhinestones just perfectly fits around the ruby slippers.

The Tin Man and the Scarecrow...what a perfect friendship, one needed a heart and the other needed brains. For this page of the album I used some Nestaboard™ Fancy Tags Three and
Nestabling™ Fancy Tags Three Silver Rhinestones with a little airbrushing to my Waltzingmouse stamped sentiment. I added a Baby Red Rhinestones to the Tin Man's chest and some Swirls, Finesse Silver Rhinestones to finish the page.

Let's all follow the yellow brick road and sprinkle some bling along the way, for the center of the poppy's I used 72 count Amber Rhinestones and added some Swirls, Finesse Silver Rhinestones along the bottom of the page.

Just look how the 72 count Amber Rhinestones bring out the color of the poppy's.

Here we have the Cowardly Lion who wanted to be soooo brave and he was in his own kind of way. For this page I added 72 count Black Pearls to the center of the poppy's and Funky Swirls Silver Rhinestones  to finish the page.
I just love how the Want2Scrap© bling just brings all these pages to life, it is so easy to peal and stick, it adds just the right amount of detail.
I'll get you my pretty! I can still her the Wicked Witch of the West's voice from when I watched it as a kid. Did she scare you? Well I thought even the witch needed a little bling from time to time so I added some
Nestabling™ Heart Circles Black Rhinestones, Nestabling™ Petite Scalloped Circles SM Black Rhinestones and 72 Count Silver Rhinestones. Some how adding some bling to the witch just doesn't make her look so scary anymore, don't you think? I know you are wondering just what type of adhesive I used to put all of this amazing Magic of Oz paper collection on this unique Oil Can Album, well I like to use Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry, so give it a try.
Well I hope you have enjoyed following me down the Yellow Brick Road, and blinging it up as we go, stay tuned next month for yet another creative journey with me.

Pure Joy

Hello, friends. I'm happy to share with you an "all about me" layout. I like creating layouts about myself to reflect on my thoughts and feelings. My life has had many changes over the past few months...a divorce, a new job, and a new home. Despite the difficult decisions and stressful times, I've emerged a confident, joyful woman. This layout, with singing birds and blooming flowers, represents a new beginning.
The beautiful chipboard "Joy" is just one of the sentiments in the Want2Scrap© Words of Love collection. I painted the word black. I handcut the flowers from patterned paper and added dimensional adhesive. The Want2Scrap© Maxxi Girl Pearls, a gorgeous swirl in white pearls, was a lovely accent.

I just couldn't wait to create with the Want2Scrap© Birds of a Feather diecut silhouette. This fabulous silhouette was beautiful in black, but I wanted to add a vintage feel with newsprint patterned paper and distress ink. I traced over the bird and leaf images and cut patterned paper just a wee bit smaller. I used black and brown distress ink on the edges.
Thank you for stopping by today. Happy creating!

Wild Thing and All that Jazz...ATC Style!

Hi Terre here with a couple of blinged up ATC's that are sure to make you smile and remember they are for a good cause! Let's get started with "Wild Thing"...she is Daring, Thrilling and a little bit Wild just like the amazing bling you will find at Want2Scrap©. I used Want2Scrap© Designer Embellies ATC Chipboard, Canvas 7 x 7 and Nestabling™ Sprightly Sprockets Silver Rhinestones, along with Spellbinders Sprightly Sprockets die templates to cut the canvas and then added the Nestabling™ Sprightly Sprockets to the canvas...did you kow you could cut canvas with the dies? This amazing paper line is by one of our cross promotional partners Graphic 45 Le Cirque and adhered it all together with Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry.

How about a little jazz bling style with "All That Jazz", this is the second ATC in my collection for a good cause. For this blinged out ATC I used Want2Scrap© Nestabling™ Classic Diamonds Silver Rhinestones and cut them to fit my Gold and Black Fleur de Lis pattern paper by The Robin's Nest. I used Want2Scrap© Designer Embellies ATC Chipboard and adhered using Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry Newsprint pattern paper by The Robin's Nest. I inked up the edges of the ATC with Clearsnaps Fluid Chalk Chestnut Roan and to add the final embellishments I hand trimmed pieces from the Graphic 45 Curtain Call collection of pattern paper.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog post, stay tuned to see who's next in our ATC round robin, you won't want to miss all of these beautiful ATC's. Crafty Hugs,
