Vintage Pumkin ATC

Hi there!  It's officially autumn these days and it makes me crave the pretty and warm colors of the season.  Time for an ATC project that brings a little fall indoors.

Using products from Want2Scrap and our partners, Sakura and Beacon Adhesives, I was able to craft up a pretty ATC sized wall hanging.  The vintage label was a free download from the Graphics Fairy blog.  The black and orange bling from Want2Scrap make a pretty border when lined up along the top and bottom of the label.

A painted layer of Crystal Laquer from Sakura over the vintage label gives it a glossy finish and makes the ATC more durable so it will last for many autumn seasons to come.

What are you making this autumn?

Sweet Love

Hello, friends!  Today, I've had the pleasure of designing with some of my favorite Want2Scrap products by Donna Salazar Designs.  I love the texture of the ATC in Canvas.  I used the canvas as a base for my chipboard accents.  The Designer Embellies Mixed Media Elements includes the Bird, Wings, Crown, Tag, and Leaves. I love how the chipboard accents accepted the rich ink colors I chose.

Next, I chose to cut the Nestaboard Labels 25 in half to use above and below my photos.  I covered it with patterned paper by The Dove's Nest, inked the edges, and added Nestabling Labels 25 Silver Rhinestones.

Lastly, I added "Love" from the Want2Scrap Chipboard Sentiments--Words of Love to complete my title.

Have a wonderfully creative week!

Seaside Friends by Joe Morgan

For my artist trading card, I wanted to create this under sea scene after getting some inspiration from a piece of Robin’s Nest paper that reminded me of ocean waves.

I started off with one of Want2Scrap’s Chipboard ATC’s. I love the weight of these and they are nice and thick so they don’t bend when you put glue or paint on them. I covered the ATC with Zip Dry adhesive to adhere my piece of Robin’s Nest paper. I wanted my background to be glossy, but not as glossy as the mermaid, so I covered the Robin’s Nest paper with PPA Gloss which gives a nice glossy, but satin like finish depending on how you apply it. After that, I inked the edges with a Charcoal Cat’s Eye ink pad from Clearsnap.

For the mermaid, I used a Stampendous cling stamp, and colored with Copic markers. Then I cut out the mermaid and covered her with Sakura Crystal Lacquerand set aside to dry. If you’re wondering, the seahorse is part of the mermaid stamp.

For the word Friends, I used Want2Scrap’s Chipboard Sentiments – Words of Love. First, I covered the word with pearl colored acrylic paint, and then used alcohol inks to add color, and then a light coat of clear crackle paint to finish it off. I also used the same colors of alcohol ink to dab a little matching color on the bottom part of my ATC to make my ocean floor.

After all of my pieces were ready, I used some more Crystal Lacquer to adhere the mermaid the the ATC, and then the word friends on top of the mermaid.

To finish my ATC, I used bling from two different packs of Want2Scrap bling. I used Maxxi Girl Swirls in Brown and the Finesse Swirls in the new LeCreme Pearls color. The mermaid stamp showed her with a braid or string tied around her hair with seashells on it. I covered that with the brown rhinestones and some of the LeCreme Pearls. I just cut off what I needed and placed them one at a time. I also put some down in the sand as well as a couple of large swirls to show the movement of the water. I just happen to love mermaids and seahorses, so I had a great time making this.

"You are Beautiful" ATC with Keely

Hello, friends. I had such a wonderful time creating this "You are Beautiful" ATC. I started with a Want2Scrap© chipboard ATC measuring 3 1/2" x 2 1/2".
Next, I adhered lovely patterned paper by The Robin's Nest and inked the edges. I then painted one of my favorite Want2Scrap© products, decorative dress form Nestaboard,™and backed it with print patterned paper. I added Want2Scrap© 3 white adhesive pearls to form a necklace.
"You are Beautiful" is such a simple, wonderful sentiment. I printed the sentiment in MS Word Calibri font and trimmed into a banner. I then lined the edges of the banner with gold glitter glue.
For the final touch, I wrapped with purple twine and a pretty pink button.
Thanks so much for visiting today!

Today she thought she would fly... ATC by: Dana

Hello!  Today it's my absolute pleasure to share an ATC made with some gorgeous products from Want2Scrap and some of our Cross Promotional partners.  If you have been following recent posts here you may have detected a theme with all the gorgeous ATC's being posted and that there is something special brewing...you *may* be right!  Soon the details will be revealed!  Until then, I'd love to share some details on how I put together my ATC...

Today she thought she would fly.....There is something magical about the possibilities built into the small but mighty ATC.  I took one look at the gorgeous Wonderful Wings Bling from Want2Scrap® and Donna Salazar and the rest of the ATC came out in a flash!  I downloaded and printed the vintage photograph from online and adhered her to the Wonderful Wings bling after it had been mounted on cardstock and spritzed with glimmer mist.  To create the backdrop on my ATC I first painted the ATC in Chipboard (3 pack) with acrylic paint from EcoGreen Crafts.  I also misted a canvas from the ATC in Canvas (3-Pack) with glimmer mist.  Once the chipboard and the canvas dried, I was able to adhere the two using my sewing machine.  I adhered a floral 3D sticker from Michaels, glittered it and added some of the prettiest pearls around:72 Count - Pink Pearls - Self Adhesive.  I also added pieces of Funky Swirls- Black Rhinestones - Self Adhesive to the canvas and printed my sentiment on the computer using MS Word and a typewriter font.

Final touches were added with bits of cotton lace trim added to the top and bottom of the ATC and on the back, I created hanging mounts using 3-in-1 Advanced Crafter's Glue from Beacon and vintage "eye" pieces from a hook and eye set I had on hand.  A bit of twine strung through the eyes serves as a hanger to this tiny bit of inspiration.  She has been hanging above my crafting space ever since!  She could use a couple more ATC friends to hang out with I think.

One more shot to illustrate the incredible dimension and textures that were built into this ATC which goes to show, you can pack in a lot of juicy goodness no matter what the size of the canvas!  Have you tried your hand at an ATC lately?  I sure hope you will!

Thanks for coming by.  Until next time...

"Shine" ATC by: Trudy Sjolander

 Hi Everyone!
True :D here, and I'm so excited to be posting my first ever project as a new Want2Scrap designer!
The new Want2Scrap gang has a very special project in the works for a very special cause. You will want to keep checking back here to find out more info about it as we get closer to the event. ;)
Though, I can't share many details about it yet, I CAN share a project I created for it!
This ATC (Artist Trading Card) was created using one of  Want2Scrap's new Chipboard ATCs.

The pretty Glittered Teal Chipboard and Glittered Writing Cardstock are both from The Robin's Nest who are one of our wonderful cross promotional partners.

I cut a 2.5"x3.5" piece of the glittered chipboard and adhered it to the Want2Scrap ATC. Then I simply tore a corner from the designer paper, inked the edges, and adhered it. I used some letter stamps to ink and emboss the "Shine" sentiment, then inked around the edges of the entire card.
I used a store-bought flower that had a different center that didn't work for what I wanted,  so guess what?
I pulled the center and added one of the beautiful Self-Adhesive 72 Count Le Creme Pearls from Want2Scrap!  I inked the edges of the flower to "grunge" it up a bit.
And to bling it up a little more, I added a couple of pieces of  Want2Scrap's Le Creme Finesse Swirls Pearls.

Remember to check back often to see what the rest of the amazing designers are creating to inspire you with, and to find out more about our special event ;)  ;)

Thanks so much for dropping by to share my first W2S post!
I would love to know what you think about my ATC or the pretty bling I used on it! :)
