A Want2Scrap Christmas Layout

Susie here on this fine Christmas morning!  I hope you are all enjoying special time with your families!  I just wanted to pop in and share a quick Christmas layout I created featuring some wonderful Want2Scrap  products:  Fancy Chipboard Words and Bling!
The papers are from the Tidings Collection by Authentique Paper.  It is a really different kind of Christmas collection.  The papers have a kraft paper base that mixes well with the traditional reds and greens of the season.  What I really appreciate is that Authentique uses the same base colors every year.  What that means is that I can take this year's release and mix it with collections from years past!
I used one of the cute cut apart cards as a caption for the photo and then embellishedalong the bottom edge with a string of hearts ribbon.  I used self-adhesive red rhinestone bling from Want2Scrap to embellish my embellishment!  Next I covered one of the Fancy Chipboard Words with red glitter.
Here's a close up of a simple embellishment cluster above the photo.  It makes me giggle because it looks like the horns are coming out of his head!  (I guess he is a little naughty!)
Merry Christmas and I hope you find some time to play today!

Sparkle with Want2Scrap Baby Bling!

Hello everybody - Susie here today!  Are you ready to  make your mistletoe sparkle with Red Rhinestone Baby Bling from Want2Scrap?   Checkout the details on this winter themed layout I created using the Christmas Wonderland Collection from Carta Bella.  It is such a pretty mix of vintage, wintery images with traditional red and green - and a surprising amount of blue!  I fell in love with the Nature Sing paper and chose that as the basis of my layout, trimming 1/8" on all sides then centering it on black cardstock.  I adore the image of the small deer peering at his reflection!
Next I chose 3 coordinating pages from the 6x6 paper pad, matted them with black cardstock, and arranged them on the left side of the page.  I also matted my photos with black and trimmed out a few of the nature themed journaling cards.  I played with the placement until I was happy and then started to embellish.  Here you can see I layered some mistletoe stickers on top of a chipboard flag:
This little blue bird was practically begging for a front row seat on my layout so I popped him on with dimensional tape!  (grin)  I often embellish my embellishments and in this case I added a LOT of sparkle by adding Red Rhinestone Baby Bling on top of some of the berries.
This photo of my daughter with an arm full of snowballs and a mischievous expression deserved a Naughty sticker!
Everybody uses hashtags these days so I was really tickled to find these cute little dimensional stickers from Little B.  (The set also includes #Love, #Life, #Laugh and #Selfie.)  I added a die cut arrow - and done!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today!  Susie

November Layout with Want2Scrap Chipboard

Hello everybody!  Susie here today and I want to share a fall layout featuring Want2Scrap chipboard for the title.  I needed to scrap these great pics of my mom, sister and I enjoying the autumn leaves.  I used the Nestled Collection from Authentique Papers.  I love all the texture found in the patterned paper - wood grains and knits and plaids - and Want2Scrap has the perfect Chipboard and Bling accents!
November is a Fancy Chipboard Word from Want2Scrap.  It is really easy to alter the chipboard with inks, paint, glitter and embossing powder, which is what I chose for this project.  I heat embossed it with Earthtone Nutmeg Embossing Powder.
You can see I used multiple layers to create dimension - papers, tags, twine, stickers, bling and even a charm!
Want2Scrap 72 Count Bling comes in a pack with 3 different sizes - 3mm, 6mm and 8mm.  I used all 3 sizes of the Amber bling to jazz up this sentiment/quote card:

Grateful for Want2Scrap Chipboard!

Hello everybody!  Susie here today and I am sharing a layout I created featuring Want2Scrap Chipboard!  I usied the Nestled Collection from Authentique Paper.  I really loved the sentiment printed on one of the cut apart cards:
"It is not happy people who are thankful.  It is thankful people who are happy."
The collection has a great assortment of patterned papers that work together to create a really casual, comfortable feel. The colors were perfect for these pictures of my son in his blue jeans!  I had a lot of fun creating layers and dimension with papers, stickers and tags.
I added even more dimension with a Chipboard Fence from Want2Scrap.  To create an aged look, I dry-brushed the chipboard with gesso and then distressed it with inks.
Finally, I added a piece of the Swirls Finesse bling in the lower right, tucking it under the little pumpkin sticker!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play!  Susie

Naked Chipboard from Want2Scrap!

Hello everybody - Susie here today and I am using naked chipboard from Want2Scrap on my layout!

Time really does fly!  My baby girl celebrated her 18th birthday yesterday!  She has grown into a generous, intelligent, loving, SWEET young lady and I could not be prouder of her!  This picture is a favorite that I snapped at our annual trip to the local pumpkin patch.  It captures her spirit so well I felt it deserved its own layout!  I used the Nestled Collection from Authentique Papers, Prima flowers, and Want2Scrap Chipboard and Bling!
The photo is a standard 4x6 and I printed it with a white border.  I created a layered  background for the picture using doilies, paper and burlap.   I adhered the word "Sweet" directly onto the photo.  Although it is really easy to alter the Fancy Chipboard Words from Want2Scrap with inks, paints, glitter, and embossing powders I decided to just leave it "naked" for this layout!
You can see that I crumpled, distressed and inked the paper behind the photo.  I created an embellishment cluster using flowers, stickers and Swirls Finesse Le Creme Pearls from Want2Scrap then tucked a tag in the back for hidden journaling.
Just peeking out from behind the flowers you can see the Chipboard Embellishment that I altered using green ink - because not all chipboard should be naked!
The Swirls Finesse Le Creme Pearls come in a 2 pack so I always snip them apart and place them around the layout.  Here you can see more pearl bling peeking out from the bottom of the embellishment cluster.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today!  Susie
