Altered Fun and a Tutorial!

As usual I was thinking ahead...some birthdays coming up for my fantastic nieces. I try to make something homemade for them each year. So here we go...

I did a little tutorial using Sakura Crystal Lacquer and  Terri Sprouls Mixer's. I altered this pressed paper A that I found at the dollar spot in Target.

This is for my dear niece Adrienne. Here are a few details...

and a little bit more...

This is a super cute and really easy embellishment to make. Use an empty bottle cap.

By mixing both the 3D Crystal Lacquer and Terri Sprouls Mixer you can get a great look.

This is so easy, after mixing them I then used a popsicle stick to spoon the mixture into the bottle cap. I also used a little of the left over mixture to paint on the edges for a little pop!

Now I added my letter A and sprinkled a little glitter and a few micro beads for some added details.

I let it sit over night to harden and it really is a fun and unique embellishment!

One of my other nieces birthday's is coming up and I made her a embellished tin that I plan on putting a gift card in.

Do yo love that sheen that the Crystal Lacquer adds to the project...and it hold everything.

Those micro beads will not fall off for anything!

I hope this makes you want to dig in and create some fun projects for someone you love!

Dream big

The pretty Want2Scrap wonderful wings butterfly is a great match for the delicate pinks and greens in the Authentique paper set called Lively.  For this butterfly focal point, I die cut the butterfly from a scrap of designer paper, applied the bling butterfly and then popped the wings simply by bending the wings.  The negative of the die cut image was applied to the card and the blinged out butterfly replaced in the middle.  Fun!

Paper plus bling corners and the pretty ivy motif laser cut make a gorgeous textured base to the card.

The black laser cut was softened with a layer of Smooch ink in "lettuce". So many pretty elements coming together here for one sweet card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

The Skirt That Started It All

One of the products that the Want2Scrap DT is using is the Crystal Lacquer and Pearl Powders from Sakura.   I covered the Chubba Bubba letters on this page with the lacquer, which I mixed with the Pearl Powders.  The way the lacquer works with the powders and forms this metallic sheen is really amazing.
It's hard to see in the photo, but the effect is a little like aged copper, with an amazing sheen.

On a side note, the skirt was a gift to my daughter from her best friend, and the two girls have been matching their outfits, and swimsuits, and everything else, ever since.  They LOVE anything that matches the other.

Thanks for coming by, now go check out Sakura and the new Want2Scrap releases! :)

Japanese Flare with Want2Scrap

Here we are again with yet another beautiful, creative album that you can only find right here at Want2Scrap! Have you seen all the different styles to choose from, well if you all have been following all the albums that I have been creating then you know how amazing the albums really are, just like this one right here.... the Gates of Love!

For the front of the album, I mixed Sakura Hobby Craft 3D Crystal Lacquer and Terri Sproul Mixer Shimmer Tanzanite powder and painted it on the front, then I used my heat gun to make it bubble. Once it was cooled I sanded the front with sand paper then sponged on some acryclic white and peony mixed to soften the color. But I'm not finished yet....it still didn't have the exact look i was shooting for so I took my trusty Clearsnap Chestnut Roan Fluid Chalk and did a little distressing...there that's what I'm talking about...DONE! Just add some Want2Scrap 72 Count Black Pearls and there you have it!
So by now you are saying wow what pretty paper this is well yes it is the new collection called Bird Song from Graphic 45 who just happens to be one of the Want2Scrap's Preferred Product Partners. Doesn't that look amazing with the Swirls Finesse Black Rhinestones from Want2Scrap?

Let's take a look throught the rest of the album pages, I hope you find some inspiration to create your own album.

Just look how beautifully the paper and the Want2Scrap bling coordinate.
You can hand trim pictures from your paper collections and ad bling to give them just the right amount of flare.

Well, I hope you have enjoyed this beautiful Japanese Flare chipboard album, remember it is the Gates of Love album and you can find it right here at Want2Scrap. Until next time... Crafty Smiles...

A old-fashioned telephone hello!

Hi-ya!  Hey there!  Howdy!  Just a quick card to share the CUTEST chipboard telephone.  Move over smart phones...nothing beats an old fashioned rotary dial phone!

I used the Vintage Phone by Laurel Lane - Chipboard in the small size on this card colored with black marker.  A leftover bit of Nestabling Sprightly Sprockets - White by Donna Salazar makes the dial details pop.  Also a bit of pearl Sleek Strips was applied under the phone.

The chipboard letters were colored with markers and then glossed with Sakura Crystal Lacquer from Sakura Craft Adhesives.  Simple and fun, this card is the perfect way to say hello!

Want2Scrap CHA Summer Releases...Check out some new products!

Want2Scrap had a ton of releases this summer! Lucky us...here are a few of my new favorites! I used a few to create some projects for CHA, there is no better way to share them then to see them being used!

We all know I love my altered containers...this in is right up my alley. This altered container is the perfect way for any teen to store earring, rings, jewelry or even just change.

Check out the Chipboard Angel Wings. I keep finding myself using them.

The Nestabling Fancy Tags Two in Turquois has always been one of my favorites.

I also made this cute memo pad, this is a fantastic product from Traditions Studios. The Pearl Strips are the perfect accent to this and the new Jewel Fantasies Chipboard is perfect for creating your own flowers.

Last but not least is an altered clipboard.

Now...do you not absolutely love that Vintage Chipboard Phone

Happiness is...

Hiya, AJ here with a card using some fabulous Want2Scrap Nestabling!

I have a thing for red, yellow, and turquoise.  I find that sometimes I have used it several days in a row and didn't realize it!  So, I force myself to take a break from that combo...but it's back today! :)

For my card today, I used the new Spellbinders Decorative Labels One die.  The Nestabling is the Labels One Nestabling in black.  Since I wanted my label to be "peeking" out from the red, I trimmed the Nestabling off on that end and tucked it away for another day.  ;)

Want2Scrap Products Used:
Nestabling Labels One in Black
Baby Bling Rhinestones, Red

Cross Promo Products Used:
