Sweet and simple gifts

 

Hi there!  Any time is a great time to give some sweet and simple gifts to the gal pals in your life.  Today I'm sharing how I crafted up some simple tags that echo the vintage feel of these fun nail files I picked up at a local gift store.

 

Supplies gathered include bling and tags from Want2Scrap.  These are two of my go to basics!  I love to have these on hand.  Colorbox chalk inks in a variety of colors customize the backgrounds by inking straight on to the manila tags. 

 

Fabric glitter glue in silver is perfect to outline vintage photos for a glam feel.

 

Once the glitter glue dries, these simple tags start to pop with energy.

 

If you are a stickler for bling spacing, a t-ruler is a handy tool to have on your craft desktop.

Hello friends!  Dana here with some quick gift tags that are quick and easy with a great vintage feel.

I began by misting four medium Manilla Tags from Want2Scrap with mists by Tattered Angels and Clearsnap Smooch Spritz.  Leave them to dry or speed the process by drying with a heat gun.

Next, a touch of bling from Beautiful Bling Borders-Fancy That! by Nina Brackett.  Use scissors to cut the bling strip into four sections and then each again to provide a top and bottom "bracket" like I assembled them above.

Adding a stamped oval frame, stamped,die cut and glittered butterfly, paper flower, trims and 72 Count - Coral Pearls - Self Adhesive is a snap!  And before you know it....

Vintage Christmas Ornament -Tag

Hello again. I hope everybody is enjoying their Christmas Season with lots of family, friends, shopping and good food. We’ve had a slow start, but now in full swing with all the season has to offer. But the most important is family.

My project today is a Vintage Christmas Ornament/Tag. We have many friends that are big on wine, and get together for wine tasting. So each year we give them a bottle of wine, and I make a custom tag that fits their décor, and colors to place on the bottle. I think it’s so funny that they love seeing the different tags I’ve made for them, and look forward to receiving them more than the wine LOL!! Then use them as a Christmas decorations the following year.

October Guest Designer - Debbie Seyer World Card Making Day - Everything Pink 50% Off!!

Good morning blogging friends! I can't believe it's the 1st of October! To me October signifies the beginning of Fall and the upcoming holidays. It seems like once we hit October everything is in full swing and doesn't seem to slow down until after the holidays.

Today, I have the pleasure of introducing our Guest Designer for the month of October, Debbie Seyer. I am so happy Debbie will be joining us this month!! She has a clean and classic style that I know you are going to love.


My name is Debbie Seyer and I live in Arnold, Missouri. I am a stay-at-home mom to three beautiful girls and I have been married to my High School sweetheart, Keith, for almost 20 years. My paper crafting journey started when our whole family went to Disney World in 1996. I started scrapbooking and finally found a hobby where I could actually complete my projects. In 2000, a friend invited me to a rubber stamping home workshop and I fell in love with cardmaking. I am proud to say that I have been published multiple times in paper crafting and scrapbooking magazines. I love working on Design Teams and have been very blessed to be on some really great teams. Besides paper crafting, I help with Funeral Luncheons at our church, help with Girl Scouts and am the taxi driver to a variety of musical instrument lessons for my girls. My hubby and I love to take our girls camping and exploring, watch movies and play board games.


I love these beautiful butterfly cards that Debbie designed! She used the Nestabling without a die template and hand cut one side giving her two pieces of bling to work with. Great idea!


This is a layout of Debbie's daughter Caitlyn. Great color combination and I love the designer paper and touches of bling she used to compliment the beautiful photo of her daughter.

Tag You're It!

Tag You're It!! I love making hand made gift tags and today I have a few pocket gift tags to share with you. I created these adorable pocket gift tags using Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker collection of papers, Beatrice, We Are Family and Summer. I hand cut several small pieces from each collection to create the tags. The We Are Family tag used the amazing Nestabling™ Beaded Square Black Rhinestones, Nestabling™ Beaded Square White Pearl and the Nestabling™ Scalloped Hearts White Pearl from Want2Scrap™

The tag inserts are approximately 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 and they fit nicely inside the pocket as seen above.

For this pocket tag and insert, I used the Beatrice collection from Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker I hand trimmed all the little pieces and adhered them with Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry™ and foam squares. I added 72 Count Hot Pink Pearls, 72 Count Hot Pink Rhinestones and Nestabling™ Scalloped Hearts Pink Rhinestones from

The last pocket tag and insert was created using the Summer Collection from Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker, this cute Summer tag has Nestabling™ Beaded Square Silver Rhinestone and 72 Count Baby Blue Rhinestones from Want2Scrap™
