A "Get Your Fingers Dirty" tutorial...

I am just loving the new Want2Scrap™ Nestaboard™ especially these new Label Twenty-Three and I am looking at new ways to use it. I wanted to show you a great way to dress them up with some fantastic mixed media products.

These are the materials we will need:
Nestaboard™
Gesso
Claudine Hellmuth Paint
Faber-Castrell Gelatos
Nestabling
Bling
Sticker
Paintbrush and Water

First add a little gesso to your Nestaboard™.

After it is dry draw some of the gelato on the Nestaboard and add water to spread the color. I used two blues, a lighter in the middle and darker on the outer edge.

After that is dry I added some paint to the paint to the edges.

Now dress it up with Labels Twenty-Three Nestabling™, Turquoise Baby Bling Rhinestones, and a sticker as the focal point.

A few details...

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you feel like getting your hands dirty now too!

Spooky Halloween Pin or Home Decor

Good morning blogging friends! Today, I have a fun little Halloween project to share with you.
I used the Nestaboard™ Sprightly Sprockets by Donna Salazar and embellished them with paint, die cuts and bling to make a fun & spooky Halloween pin.

But if you don't want to wear this as a pin you can pin it to a black ribbon and create a a little mini home decor wall hanging.

I painted the largest and smallest sprockets using Black and Bronze ECO-Friendly Acrylic Paint from Eco Green Crafts. For the medium sprocket I used Echo Park Apothecary Emporium Collection designer paper and S5-048 Sprightly Sprockets from Spellbinders to cut/emboss perfectly matching shapes. Then I added some Halloween die cuts using S4-280 Halloween Fences Scenes and Shapes (Crow) and S4-282 Witches Brew (Boot) from
Spellbinders. I added Baby Bling Red Rhinestones to the eyes on the skull and the crow.

Here is a close up of the boot and I added 72 Count Light Green Rhinestones. I also added 72 Count Purple Rhinestones going around the largest sprocket.

To create the rose I used old book pages, S5-050 Rose Creations and Tattered Angels Popsicle Glimmer Mist.

For a little sparkle I added Pralines & Cream Fairy Dust Glitter.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and a creative day!!

Hugs,

Small but Mighty!

Hi everyone! Today I am here to talk a little bit about leftovers, card casserole, craft supply stew! ;) You know, the bits and pieces of pretty papers and embellishments we all have little piles of. Supplies too useful to get rid of. I thought I'd share a recent mini card making session I had using leftover papers and the smallest Nestabling™ frames in three packages. I laid small clear stamp images over my packages of Nestabling™ to see what would fit best in each shape. These simple cards are great to have on hand for the many birthday celebrations of my daughters' friends.
Many times I use the larger frames on my cards or on scrapbook pages and I find that the smaller sizes are great to frame little images you want to give some extra WOW to.
This cute icecream cone from My Cute Stamp is positively radiant with her 72 Count - Black Rhinestones - Self Adhesive rhinestone eyes and Nestabling Labels Two Red Rhinestones.

Strawberries don't get any sweeter than this glitter sugared strawberry from Wilson Designs framed up with Nestabling Labels Nine Purple Rhinestone and a matching purple bling taken from one of the larger frames.

And finally this cupcake, another beauty from Wilson Designs, is perfect with it's 72 Count - Red Rhinestones - Self Adhesive "cherry" on top and framed out with the soft spoken Nestabling Classic Diamonds Lavender Pearl frame.

The formula is simple...one small Nestabling frame plus accent bling from Want2Scrap™added to stamped and glittered images and adhered to a folded Long Classic Scalloped Rectangles LG nestabilities cut topped with paper scraps. Ta daaaa! Simple gift package cards!

Big Scalloped Circles Christmas Album - Debbie Seyer October Guest Designer

Good morning blogging friends! Today, I am excited to share a beautiful Christmas Album created by Debbie Seyer, our Guest Designer for the month of October. If you missed our first post introducing Debbie please click HERE to read it and see more beautiful samples of her art work.

Debbie used the Big Scalloped Circles Grand Chipboard Album from Want2Scrap™ and Teresa Collins Christmas Home 6 x 6 Paper Pad Collection to cover the album. The Big Scalloped Circles Grand Chipboard Album matches perfectly with Spellbinders™ LF-249 Grand Big Scalloped Circles. I love all of the different patterns and layers of paper!

Debbie used the 72 Count Black Rhinestones to embellish the Lacey Circles die cut. She created a fantastic medallion and trimmed it with red tinsel like trim--love the sparkle!

Here Debbie layers the lacey and scalloped oval die cuts and added some Nestabling™ for a finishing touch. She made a wonderful keepsake to preserve her family memories of Christmas 2011 for years to come.

Debbie, thank you for sharing your beautiful album with us!! To see more of Debbie's wonderful designs please visit her blog ~ A Peek Into My Stamping Room.

Sisterhood

Good morning..Karen Taylor here today to with you a happy October to you.
I hope you are enjoying fall weather.
I know I am loving the cooler temperatures and the leaves changing color.

For my Want2Scrap™ project today I am celebrating sisterhood!

“A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost.” ~Marion C. Garretty

w2s1

I started my layout with Simple Stories Elementary collection and cut Spellbinders™ Paper Arts: Stars Nestabilities® die templates using Grand Calibur™ die cut machine. I cut my background paper to 11 1/2 x 11/1/2, inked the edges and stapled to a 12 x 12 piece of kraft paper.

I then glued the die cut star to Nestaboard™ Stars Five,

w2s4

Inked with ECO Green: Ink Walnut and embellished with Nestabling™ Star Five Silver and Bling: 72 Count - Silver Rhinestones - Self Adhesive and finished off the the layout with the layered and “blinged” stars.

Splendor with BLING!

It's the MOST splendid season - PERFECT for adding a little bling!

Somethin' about the COLORS of Fall, in my neck of the woods...

EVERYTHING looks terrific in fall colors... So WHY not up the beauty...

WITH BLING!

Yes, please! I did! - I will continue to do so! I LOVE doin' it,
and SO... WILL ... YOU!

Look at this GORGEOUS image and sentiment from Simple Stories!
We were given these incredible paper kits recently, to pair with Want2Scrap™
products - and HONEY, BABIES, SWEETHEARTS! WHAT a stunning combo!

As IFFFFF! This artwork wasn't breathtaking enough...
Look what some brilliant Nestabling™ petite circles
can do to the SUN!
{Lesson here - Nestabling™ NESTS with all kinds of things!}

On the opposing page, a tree sticker from the Simple Stories™
100 Days of Summer collection, skillfully covers a smallish
family friend who dove into our "family portrait" moment,
and the addition of self adhesive green bling from the 72 ct.
package
{Yeowza! This stuff is sooooo versatile!} REALLY
ups the juice factor on this little scene! {LOVE that green!}

Bling can perk up SO many {already!} beautiful materials!

Here's another stellar graphic from the Simple Stories collection:
although the set is intended for summer, I easily transitioned
many of the images into fall, with a few stamps and coordinating
BLING!

But when I say COORDINATING... I'm kind of breaking out
of the "matchy-matchy" coordinating concept, and leaping
towards the use of COMPLIMENTARY bling..... {*swoon!*}

How can these colors NOT make you want to smile?
YUM! Like pumpkin bread baking in your oven on
a leisurely Sunday morning - these colors ARE fall,
where I come from! I had so much fun enhancing
these images just-a-lil-bit! But just LOOK:

Check out a fabulous a line of silver rhinestone bling
from our Nestabling™ Pennant collection! If you are a
Pennant phobe - and you SWEAR you'd never make one...

That's okay, you can STILL play with us! I hoard... ur, uh,
I mean - I COLLECT these babies and use them quite often
for straight lines of bling! They are HUGELY versatile in
that regard, plus they come in MANY fantastic colors! If
you've never really contemplated them, I hope you'll take
another look! Want2Scrap™ Nestabling Pennant bling
is GREAT for pretty much EVERYTHING!

Here's another SUN with just a lil' more sparkle thanks
to a single bauble from a left-over Gold, Petite Scallop
Nestabling™ Circle
... An adorable stamp and THAT
sparkling jewel and THIS postcard that was once all
about summer.... Now shines like a fine autumn day!

This baby went from {stunning!} summer, to fall in a snap!

Oh, the places BLING can take us! Isn't is AMAZING!?!

Start with this...

Bling it OUT - to THIS!

So much fun! On this festive bingo sheet, I merely covered
the center piece with this pumpkin I stamped onto a scrap
of paper from this very collection, fussy cut and glued it
right THAR in the center! You'd probably never have
guessed it didn't come that way... There's just something
about staking a claim on CREATIVE material!

More pumpkins to decorate the spine of this delightful
chipboard album from EcoGreen Crafts!

I used some LOVELY paint from Eco Green Crafts
to custom paint the letters on the cover of my book,
as well! I swear, I need EVERY color they make!
It's GREAT stuff!

As you can see, very little bling was spared for the creation of
this sparkly seasonal album. I promise, it didn't feel any pain...
AND MAN, does it SHINE! {!} Gosh, I love sharing my love for
Want2Scrap™ and cross promotional products with you! I hope
you enjoyed my tips for BLINGIN' out your goodies - May YOU
find SPLENDOR in your craft! ENJOY!
