Blingy Garden Chic Wall Hanging

Good morning blogging friends! Today, I have a blingy garden chic wall hanging to share with you. Recently Want2Scrap™ partnered up with Eco Green Crafts and we received some products from Eco Green Crafts. A couple of the products were inks and stamps and to create the stamped images I used the Garden Chic rubber stamp set and Black ink.I started by taping the S4-319 Lattice Rectangles on to a piece of white cardstock and then stamping inside the framed area. I only used a black ink pad but by inking up the stamp and stamping off on a piece of scratch paper and repeating this I was able to get a few different shades of gray. Then I used the Grand Calibur™ to cut/emboss the die cut shape.I added the Nestabling™ Lattice Rectangle White and Black Pearls to the die cut and then I added diamond glitter on the exposed adhesive. Here is a close up to see the glitter.I added a heart shaped ribbon slider with some black ribbon to embellish the dress form.I added Baby Bling White Pearls and 72 Count Black Rhinestones to the corners. To create the base of the wall hanging I used LF-132 Grand Rectangles and LF-347 Grand Labels Twenty-Three layered the two pieces using 3D Foam Squares.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you have a creative day!

Hugs,

Just one more design by Viola!

Viola Mahr sent me another wonderful project to share with you all...what lucky girls we are! She actually used a page from the Scalloped Chipboard Album which she trimmed down to create this...so versatile. I just love how she used the Want2Scrap™Ribbon Slide as a frame. Brilliant design!

Tucked in next to the pretty flower bouquet is a White Butterfly 1". She then perfectly accented her project with the Silver Rhinestones - 72 Count.

We want to thank Viola for sharing her craftiness with us this month, it was a pleasure to be inspired by her! Thank you Viola!

Peaceful Garden

Hi there! I am over the moon to bring you a project using fabulous Want2Scrap™ products teamed up with our new Cross Promotional Partner, Eco Green Crafts™! Be sure and check out their products. I love that they are designing with a "green" philosophy.

You can be sure I was flipping in excitement over their gorgeous vintage styled stamps like the images I used here from their Garden Chic set. Acrylic Paint in generously sized tubes is another star from Eco Green. For this project I used the gorgeous Butternut and White paints. Check out how I used them to distress some brand spankin new Nestaboard™.....

I started with a small splotch of Butternut near the center of the Nestaboard™ and used a stiff bristled brush to spread the paint outward towards the edges. I purposely left some of the Nestaboard™ Labels Fourteen exposed giving it a weathered look.

Next comes a layer of White paint. Load up a flat bristled paint brush with a minimal amount of paint.

Use a light hand and drag the paint brush from the outside edge of the Nestaboard™ towards the inside. It will add a white washed look to the Nestaboard™ and also the first layer of Butternut paint.

Next I used the Paris Trunk "Walnut" dye based ink from Eco Green to stamp the floral image over the painted and dried Nestaboard™.

Stamping the Walnut ink over the acrylic paint and the exposed Nestaboard™ gave a happy result....the "walnut" color used in this way is a dead ringer for the Nestaboard™ base color so it produced what looks like a custom print growing right out of the Nestaboard™. LOVE that! The pop and pizazz to this piece is provided happily by the Nestabling™ Labels Fourteen Lime Green.

I have recently been loving making my own tapes using masking tape, permanent ink like Staz On and stamps. I love that I can make just what I need for my project for pennies.

Getting borders that span the width of a card can be tricky! Use a grid paper to help line it up just right.

Coming down to the final parts and pieces to this card...a little foam tape on the back of a stamped and fussy cut butterfly helps give some 3-D action.

The gorgeous stamped images from Eco Green are the perfect canvas for some 72 Count - White Pearls - Self Adhesive.

Viewing things from the side, I just love the dimension that the gorgeous Want2Scrap™ products add to the equally gorgeous Eco Green products. And check out how perfectly the Nestabling™ borders the Nestaboard™!

Thanks so much for joining me in the garden today. :)

Hello! My name is Lori Craig. I'm a lover of all things stampy, and you can find me many nights in my office 'going crazy' with paper and ink. I prefer simpler designs with some kind of small WOW factor or pop. I've been making cards for about 11 years, and I've been blessed to work in the stamping and papercrafting industry for the past 5 years as an independent designer for several different stamp companies, an instructor for Copic Marker and as advertising manager for Splitcoaststampers. I'm thrilled to spend a little bit of extra time with Want2Scrap™ as a guest designer this month. Thank you for having me!

I also wanted to share a couple pieces of artwork from Lori.I love the colors on this card and the sweet little butterfly.Great flower embellishments and I love the stitching!Look at all the tiny little layers and more stitching--LOVE IT!!!
