Want2Scrap™ Curtain Call Card...

Here is my usual card disclaimer...I know I am not a card girl but...every now and again duty calls and I have to make a card. With Father's Day right around the corner it is that time. I pulled out some goodies from Want2Scrap™ and some fantastic paper from Graphic 45. I decided I wanted to make a "pretty" card that was still masculine.

I just love these papers from the Curtain Call release. The Nestabling™ Beaded Square Black Rhinestones, 72 Count Orange Rhinestones, and 72 Count Black Pearls look great together.

I love sprinkling a little glitter over the glue strips on the Nestabling™. It is such a great way to add a little POP to any project! Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to join us next week for our upcoming blog hop!

Bonjour Nestabling

Bonjour and welcome to my blog post today on Want2Scrap™. My creative project is packed full of amazing Nestabling™ and other fabby bling items. I chose a color pallet of red, white, black and lime green, don’t ask it just came together. I used Want2scrap™ Labels Fourteen Green Nestabling™ on my stamped image of Penny Black Inc 4149H Bonjour Stamp, I die cut the stamped image using Spellbinders™ S4-190 Labels Fourteen die template, added the Nestabling™. I also die cut black felt out of the Labels Fourteen die template it is easy to cut felt in the Grand Calibur™.

I colored my stamped image using my Copic Markers, added a 72 Count Black Pearl to the flower on the hat and adhered my die cuts together using my Beacon Adhesive Zip Dry™. I cut the red and white polka dot pattern paper to fit the front of my card, approximately 5 x 6.5, adhered it to the front of my card.
I die cut the S5-030 Fancy Tags Two out of white card stock and added the Nestabling™Fancy Tags Two Black Rhinestones , cut the tag in half to use on both sides of the stamped image. Add a 72 Count Red Rhinestone Bling on both sides of the tag. I embellished the card with a Want2Scrap™ Red and Black Butterfly, tied a bow using Want2Scrap™ Black and White Polka Dot grosgrain ribbon (found only at the consumer shows).

Thank you for stopping by, I hope that this creative project has inspired you to create a project of your own
using Want2Scrap™ Nestabling™, once you try it you won’t be able to create without it…just like me!

Boardwalk Beauties & Bling

Good morning! Wow I can't believe we are already into the second week in June!! Where is the time going? With warm temperature I thought this would be a perfect time for a beach themed card. For the stamped image I used a couple of stamps from Crafty Secrets, Bathing Beauties stamp set. I add a little bit of color using Copic markers. Then I taped S4-290 Labels Fourteen die template for perfect placement and cut/embossed the shape using the Grand Calibur from Spellbinders. Then I inked the edges from Antique Linen Distress Ink and added Nestabling™ Labels Fourteen Black Rhinestones from Want2Scrap™. I also added a few Baby Turquoise Rhinestones to the inside of the label.I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Caribbean Blue to color the Chipboard Embellishments - Pack of 5 - Style C. Once the chipboard was dry I added a few Baby Turquoise Rhinestones and used Beacon Adhesives 3-in-1 Advanced Craft Glue to adhere the chipboard to the card. For the card base I used Soot cardstock, layered with Dotted Swiss Phoenix from Discount Cardstock. The patterned paper is from Graphic45-On the Boardwalk collection.

Hey Girlfriend!....bling up your cardstock buttons tutorial

Hey Girlfriend!  Yes you, I'm talking to you :)  If it's been a while since you dropped your best-y a note, this card may just inspire you to say "hello, friend".

And Want2Scrap has THE best bling in town to jazz up your handmade items like cards,

vintage photographs, and

handmade cardstock buttons!  I was able to make a coordinating cardstock button using black cardstock, a piece of designer paper from the Graphic45 On the Boardwalk collection and Nestabling™ Petite Scalloped Circle Sm Gold Rhinestones.  Check out the following tutorial to see how I did it....

I began by gathering the basic supplies for constructing the cardstock button.  I found that the Nestabling™ Petite Scalloped Circle Sm Gold Rhinestones also can work with my set of  Spellbinders S4-114 Standard Circles Large dies.  Also needed are a liquid glue like Zip Dry from Beacon Adhesivesand a  glossy top coat glue like glossy accents.

I first die cut three circles from the second smallest circle die in the set.  I then precut two of the smallest circles in the set and tape positioned the second smallest circle die so that I could create two rings from the black cardstock.

In addition, if you want a designer paper insert, die cut one circle in the desired color/pattern.  Before gluing your layers together, you should have the following items at hand as shown above.  Glue in order from left to right top to bottom.

At this point, the three black cardstock circles have been glued together with Zip Dry.  Next comes the designer paper circle, and finally, if desired, adhere the two black cardstock rings as the top layer.

If needed ink the edges of the paper button stack.

Mark with a pencil spots where you want your button holes and punch with a tool like the crop-o-dile.

Cover the button with glossy accents and let dry (at least one hour).

Once the glossy accents is dry, hold your sheet of Nestabling™ Petite Scalloped Circle Sm Gold Rhinestones over the button to see where you will apply the chosen ring of bling.

Carefully place your Nestabling™ Petite Scalloped Circle Sm Gold Rhinestones on the top black ring of the button for that ultimate finished look.

Check out the dimension on this button...looks like the real deal right?
In fact, here is my handmade cardstock button next to a "real deal"...a button from my personal stash and the inspiration piece for this project.  Thanks for stopping by today and I can't wait to see how you use Nestabling to take your handmade embellishments to the next level.

Once Upon a Bling Time

This card just screams Bling! Finding just the right Bling and Nestabling™ is so easy when Want2Scrap™ has so many colors and types to choose from. For this Springtime creation I chose to use the Nestabling™ Fancy Tags Two Silver Rhinestones along with Spellbinders™ S5-030 Fancy Tags Two die temples, Nestabling™ Labels Eleven Pink Pearls along with Spellbinders™ S4-246 Labels Eleven die template and LF-246 Grand Labels Eleven. To make the little fairy in the picture stand out, I took one of the small Nestabling™ Labels Eleven Pink Pearls and created a frame around the fairy, this shows that just because you don't have the die template doesn't mean you still can't use the Nestabling™, they are amazing even without the matching die template.

I just love using Graphic 45 paper and this Once Upon A Springtime is probably one of my favorites, I am sure I say that about all of their paper..he he. I hand trimmed the primrose flowers and added a 72 count Black Pearls to each of the flowers centers, dusted them with some Diamond Stickles and die cut the
Spellbinders™ S4-328 Foliage, sanded, inked and added the Le Creme Baby Pearls to the stem of the leaves.

I attached my creative pieces to my Labels Eleven shape card using Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry, took some pink satin ribbon tied a nice size bow, added a couple decorative stick pins just behind the bow and there you have a festive Springtime creation. Thank you for stopping by my blog post today and I hope that you find some inspiration to try the amazing Nestabling™ for your self, until then have an amazingly creative day.
