So Proud of You

Hello, friends!  Keely here to share my latest Want2Scrap layout.  I'm definitely a proud mom.  My sons graduated from 7th and 8th grade this May.  They are growing into such wonderful young men.  I created this layout with one of my favorite pics from Award's Day.  I'm smiling from ear to ear.

I incorporated lovely Want2Scrap products:  Maxxie Girl Pearls, Nestaboard Labels 24, Nestabling Labels 24 Pearls, and Chandelier Silhouette.

I love the range of Want2Scrap products and how beautifully they accent any project.  I layered, distressed, and inked many of my products. Try combining an array of products and textures on your next project.

Old Time Tricycle Silhouette: Father's Day (Nina)

Hello, friends! It Nina here on the Want2Scrap blog again and my card today is something that is new to me. It's one of a series of 4 cards using the same Want2Scrap Silhouette - Old Time Tricycle. I love this vintage shape and I utilized it here as a stencil on a Prima patterned paper using spray inks. I used the GlueGlider PRO+ MultiDirectional Cartridge Refill - Repositionable to attach the silhouette to keep it in place before I sprayed. The result adds such a dramatic flair with the ink spatters, but still manages to preserve the lovely tricycle shape.
W2S Card4
I distressed the edges and stitched the panel in place. The sentiment is from The Craft's Meow's Mother and Father stamp set  I added another ripped strip of Prima paper. I then cut a strip of Want2Scrap ATC in Canvas (3-Pack), folded them in random places and stapled it in place. A button stringed with burlap twine is all the embellishment it needs for this masculine card.

I have to admit that I was a little scared using the spray inks, but now I can't stop :). I'll be sharing the other 3 cards in the series in the next few weeks. Have a great day!

Anniversary Card using Decorative Dress Forms

Hello!
AJ here again with another card using the fabulous Decorative Dress Forms Nestabling!

Anniversaries are always a great excuse to get a little blinged out, and so should the cards used to celebrate them.  For this card, I die cut the dress form and blinged it out before adhering to the Oval die cut.  It's popped up with 3D Foam sqaures along with the grommet tag.

*Change the sentiment and it could be used for party invites, or use white pearls for wedding shower invites, or wedding cards.

A Pink Treat

This month, the Want2Scrap girls are working with some papers and other fun stuff from The Robin's Nest. I used their papers, along with some Nestaboards and Nestabling to create this page.
One of the papers I received from The Robin's Nest was a black pattern on a white background- perfect for coloring in with markers.  I choose a pink, grey, blue color scheme, and a gray pattern for the background of the page.
I painted my Nestboards with gesso, one to use as a photo mat, and the other for embellishments.  Then  surrounded some of the Nestaboards with a larger size of Nestabling.  This created a circle within a circle effect.

Thanks for coming by and taking a look!

Time to Wish Father's Day card (Nina)

It's Nina here on the blog again. Today, I have a Father's card to show you that uses some of my favorite "feminine" elements. I don't know about you, but I don't make enough Masculine cards. I seem to be drawn to pinks and other girly colors, and bling :). Father's day is one occasion when I force myself to get creative with manly cards. And why not use my favorite "pinkish" color and bling even on them?

I followed the color scheme of some Prima papers that are vintage-inspired with a hint of melon (or pinkish orange). The main panel is a Want2Scrap Manilla tag, which I stamped with a woodgrain pattern stamp. The sentiment, frame and pocket watch are from The Craft's Meow's For My Dad set. I also stamped a strip of paper with cancelled postage image from TCM's Telegram set.
Time
The bling on my card is subtle, but I thought they were necessary. :) I adhered a row of three Want2Scrap Baby Bling Rhinestones Brown - 100 Count - 2.5 mm. on the bottom right of the tag. Buttons and burlap twine finish the card.
Time-det
What do you think? Did I pull off a masculine card with pink (ish) and bling? I hope so, but I don't think the recipient will even notice :). Have a great day!

Be You (tiful)

Hello, friends!  Keely here to share with you my latest Want2Scrap layout.  I recently saw the caption, "Be You (tiful)".  How wonderful!  Be yourself...define your own kind of beauty.  I love it!  Want2Scrap and Graphic 45 are the perfect combination.

My inspiration for this layout about beauty was this Want2Scrap Dress Form and Silhouette measuring 11" tall.  So elegant and lovely.  I added Nestabling white pearls to accent my layout.

I love to incorporate lots of inking, layering and distressing into my projects.  My favorite all purpose adhesive is Beacon's 3 in 1 Advanced Craft Glue.

The Want2Scrap Chipboard Alphabet-Stylish was inked to match my project and decorated with mini pearls.

Thank so much for visiting the Want2Scrap blog today.  I hope you enjoyed viewing my project.
