Baseball Acrylic Album!

Hello blogging friends! I have some exciting News to share with all of you!!

At Splitcoast Stampers they have a Product Review Team and their team works with all different kinds of products in the stamping/scrapping industry. The team creates projects with the different products and then they do a review on the products and tell everyone what they think--if its a good product, would they recommend it, is it easy to use etc...

Today Want2Scrap™ is the Product Focus at Splitcoast Stampers!! You will have to hop on over to Splitcoast Stamper and check out all of the Fantastic reviews about Nestabling™ and Nestaboard™!! Click HERE to find out all of the details!!

Every time I do an acrylic album I remember how much fun it is...and better yet...it is such a great way to use up some of those scraps and left over rub-ons in my stash!

I just love this Baseball Player Acrylic Album by Want2Scrap™.

I added an Acrylic Baseball Word to the cover. I embossed it with a heat gun and love how it enhanced the edges. I also framed the photo with one of the rectangles from the Nestabling™ Lattice Rectangle Set in Black and Silver.

My kids are HUGE sports kids...they love it all! Soccer, lacrosse, horse-back riding, running 5k's but this year Jack decided to add baseball to his schedule.

Look how great the Silver Petite Circle Nestabling™ looks centered with Red Rhinestones - 72 Count.

My husband always laughs at me but I love taking pictures of the back of people, I just love that view. Can you tell?

The great thing about rub-ons is that they look awesome from both side in an acrylic album. They are my go to product when working with acrylic! The Black Rhinestone Pennants Nestabling™ were the perfect accessory for this sports page...and so easily cut with the Spellbinders™ Nested Pennants and Grand Caliber™. Topped off with a few Black Pearls - 72 Count and we are ready to go!

Got to love a good action shot too!

I found a great way to highlight a wallet size photo is with Nestabling™. Check out how I used it here.

Now if that doesn't draw attention to a photo I don't know what will...the Nestabling™ Labels Five in Silver Rhinestones was perfect for this.

I hope this inspires you to dig into your scraps and play with some acrylic.

Keys to Happiness

Good morning blogging friends! Today, I have a card to share with you and a step-by step tutorial. I used Nestabling™ Heart Circles Brown Rhinestones and 72 Count Baby Blue Rhinestones to accent the stamped images. The stamped images are from the Keys to Life stamp set from Crafty Secrets. To started I stamped the image on to Simply Smooth White cardstock using Rich Cocoa Ink. I added the color with Copic markers and then used S4-116 Standard Circles Small die templates from Spellbinders™ to cut/emboss the circle. Then I inked the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink.I stamped the sentiment from the Keys to Life stamp set and then cut/embossed using S4-346 Labels Twenty-Two and inked the edges with Antique Linen. To create the key I used S4-298 Antiquities. The Nestabling™ I used is Heart Circles Brown Rhinestones. As you can see from the photo I am not using the Heart Circles die cut, I used S4-345 Picot Edge Circles. The Nestabling™ was made to go with Heart Circles but as you can see it also works with other decorative edge circle die cuts. If you don't happen to have the die template to match the Nestabling™ don't be afraid to play around a little, be creative and think outside of the box. You might find a new favorite combination. ;-) To add a little sparkle I used Glue Gloss and Pralines & Cream Fairy Dust Glitter to the label and the key.I used 72 Count Baby Blue Rhinestones to accent the label and the corners.

Flowers for your Birthday

Giving flowers to a friend for her birthday, be they the real deal or the stamped variety, is one of my favorite things to do. Today I have some gorgeous Want2Scrap™ product to show off my stamped pitcher of flowers. Come along with me and check it all out, won't you?

This card really began with the Nestabling™ Fleur de Lis Rectangles Mocha Pearl. The gorgeous rich coppery brown color had me turning to my Eco Green Crafts™ acrylic paints in Pure Copper and Mulch to paint up the Chipboard Embellishments - Pack of 5 - Style C from Want2Scrap™.

Delicious! The chipboard has just the slightest copper shine to it and is the perfect place to land some 72 Count - Hot Pink Rhinestones - Self Adhesive. The swirl is a nice compliment to the floral look to this card and the hot pink rhinestones are a perfect match to the raspberry fizz hot pink paper.

I double-stamped the sentiment with both a copper ink and a chocolate ink. Copper is not a color I chose often but I am SO glad I did today! You can see how the beautiful Nestabling™ really did guide my design decisions for this card by repeating the coppery brown and setting it against pops of bright cheerful colors.

Thanks so much for visiting me here today!

I Love This Girl!

Today I have this adorable layout to share with you featuring the owner of Scrap-mart, Howard Doss and his little girl. When I saw the pictures I just knew I had to use the Nestabling™Scalloped Hearts Red Rhinestones by Want2Scrap™.

I die cut using Spellbinders™ S4-137 Classic Scalloped Hearts and then placed my Nestabling™Scalloped Hearts Red Rhinestones by Want2Scrap™, it is so fast an easy when you have the right combination of products.

The great thing about the Nestabling™ is you don't have to use it on a die cut, you can just place them where ever your creative mind tells you to...see just like I did on the title of my page.

You can also use the smaller ones and place them on the larger die cuts to make them pop and add detail.

To add a little more dimension to my layout I chose to do a zig-zag machine stitch around the outer edge and to draw your eyes to that stitching I added 72 count Black Rhinestones in three's to a couple of the corners.

I die cut S4-235 Fancy Tags out using My Minds Eye pattern paper, cut the tag in half and placed them under the hearts so they are just peaking out. To adhere these amazing blinged up pieces I used Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry, it dries fast and cleans up nicely. Thank you for stopping by, crafty smiles, Terre.

We appreciate it SO Much!!!

A special thanks to my friends at Want2Scrap™ for asking me to be a guest designer this month! I've been a happy Want2Scrap™ consumer since I first saw there products at CHA last year. I've created an altered notebook and a clean and simple card for you today, both showcasing one of my favorite products, the nylon butterflies.

First up, I purchased a set of three of these cute notebooks at my local stationery shop to use on a recent trip. I tried keeping a small journal while I was traveling to make note of random things I wanted to remember, like there are 14,000 cab cars in NYC and over 30,000 registered cabbies...the Rockefeller Building is 80 floors tall and was completed in 1933... there are over 700 employees at the 24-hour Apple Store on 5th Avenue. So this is one of the notebooks that stayed home, and I loved decorating it.

I started with my Nestabling™ Labels Nine Silver Rhinestones on the cover of my notebook. I have worked with a lot of shaped rhinestones over the years, and I really appreciate how the shaped bling from Want2Scrap™ holds its shape so that it can easily be removed from the packaging and affixed to my project. Then, I added a main image panel cut from kraft cardstock with a Spellbinders™ S4-233 Label Nine die template. The image is stamped with a large silhouette from the Discovery Your Wings set (Taylored Expressions) with Orange Marmalade Distress Ink and then the edges were distressed with Jasmine Mix'd Media Inx from Clearsnap. My next step was to add a sentiment from the Rest and Renewal set, stamped on patterned paper from Making Memories. The sentiment tag was cut free hand and layered on a piece of crocheted ribbon.

Next, this is my favorite part, I accented the combo with sweet orange 1" nylon butterflies from Want2Scrap™ using a clear glue gel. Instantly kicks it up a notch while keeping the design clean and simple enough to work for a mini notebook!

While everything was out on my table, I thought I'd make a sympathy card for one of my friends who recently lost her mother. These butterflies are the perfect delicate touch for a card that you need to be extra special.

I used the same image from Discover Your Wings and stamped on shimmery white cardstock with Mix'd Media Inx from Clearsnap. The cardstock has just a little shimmer, which I love, and the ink is opaque for a very pretty finish. I cut my image layer with a Spellbinders™ S4-161 Labels One die and attached my butterfly with a clear glue gel. The main image panel is the attached to an embossed layer of shimmery white cardstock and tied with a wide silk bow before being attached to a white card base.

Not overly fancy, but special...exactly what I want my sympathy cards to be.

I hope you've enjoyed these projects with a few of my favorite Want2Scrap™ items. I'm looking forward to sharing my next project with you in a few days.

Make something sparkle today ~ Lori

U and I **Together Forever**

Happy Sunday morning to you all I hope you are having a fantastic weekend.
We are enjoying a weekend of camping and jet skiing at Stockton Lake near our home in Missouri. We are having so much fun with our 2 year old grandson who came with us this weekend and who has never been camping and he thinks this is great. When we arrived last night and when we put the tent up light rain was coming down and it was dark. Drew and I walked to the bathroom he said to me, “listen….I hear snakes”.

For my Want2Scrap™ project I wanted to celebrate the wonderful times I have had with my husband…I am so very blessed with a husband who takes the time to make me feel special and always goes out of his way to do special things for me.

This week my little savings jar was down to just mere penny’s because my jar that I am suppose to put money in to do little things for myself ends up getting spent on kids and grandchildren….you know how that goes. : ) But this week I went in to get something out of the chest of drawers that my “savings” if you can call it that was sitting there and low and behold it was full….bills…coins and not just any bills or coins, but $2.oo bills, one dollar coins….and regular currency …..what a thoughtful gift and creative way to do it. It REALLY put a smile on my face that day. Those kind of thoughtful little gestures are what make me know that he and I will be together forever…and that make me one lucky girl. I try to be creative with the things I do for him…but that was a pretty clever act of love…..
Maybe this layout will let him know just a little more how lucky I feel to have him in my life.

The layout is made with one of my favorite photo’s of Andy and myself. It was at his nephew’s wedding in a enchanting glass chapel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It was such a delightful day….it left us with such a great memories….. their wedding and the wonderful time that we had together was so special!

I love how the Want2Scrap™ products add so much to this special layout…..

The little details that you add to your projects really can make all the difference. If you stop and really look at the layout and and think about what it would be like with out the Want2Scrap™ Nestabling™ and Nestaboard™ you see just how special it makes it. The layout would really lose that “special” quality that I wanted to have. It turns this into a layout that will go on my wall to remind me daily of how lucky I am……TRULY BLESSED!

If you are lucky enough to be surrounded by people you love and care about…take the time to let them know AND show it. It means so much.

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday and enjoy the moments….these moments today are here and will never be here again….make the most of them. Today IS a wonderful day…..make it special!

Blessing, Joy and Peace to you and until next time time …..Be Creative!
