Today we want to introduce you to Jessica Shelton Buffa. Jessica's New Year's card caught our eye. We love how enthusiastic Jessica is about making her projects sparkle.

Jessica writes...

Hello Want2Scrap Friends, Fans and Followers!

I am a mother of 5 beautiful children.  My oldest will graduate High School in 2014 and my youngest, who will be 3 in February, is just about potty trained.  So, needless to say, diversity is a constant in my life.  That is a true description for my creativity, also.  I enjoy all types of art and ENJOY is an understatement.  I love making cards, scrapbook layouts, and 3D projects, but I don't stop there.  I also love painting, mixed media, altered art, upcycling, and creating home decor.

BLING is definitely a favorite product to use when I craft and Want2Scrap products always comes through for me.  Whether it be using their beautiful pearls and rhinestone bling or a number of their Fancy Brackets and Swirls, you can't go wrong!!!  And who can resist their fantastic Corrugated and Mixed Media Abums?  Or the awesome Chipboard Albums and Embellishments???  Not me....LOL!  I just adore ALL of their products, truly!

I first came to know the Blogiverse in January 2011 when I started blogging at Jessica's Craft Shaque.  I was instantly hooked on sharing my projects, crafty tips, and creations.  I really am happy when I can visit my favorite product sites and friends' blogs to gain inspiration to be creative.

I enjoy connecting with others through all types of Social Media, maybe a little too much *;) winking.  I can be found at any of the links in this post, along with finding me perusing about under a number of different crafty aliases:

Beautifully Frame Your Cherished Photos With Nestaboard and Bling!

Hi everyone!
True :D here to share a couple of projects with you.

Now, I could have taken this darling photo of my grandson Joseph, and taped to to the refrigerator to display, but why just tape, when it's so easy to turn it into a beautifully framed piece of art?

I simply took a Want2Scrap - Nestaboard Labels Eighteen piece, covered it with a scrap piece of designer paper from my stash, and inked the edges.
After it dried, I adhered a photo and the "baby Joseph" pieces that I made from kraft cardstock. The beautiful finishing touches of 72 Count LeCreme Pearls and 72 Count Turquoise Rhinestones, add so much sparkle and shine! I added a couple of magnets to the back and placed it on my refrigerator so I can see my darling grand-baby every time I walk past it. ;)

I thought I would share a bonus project today as well.
I created this card for Inky Antics CHA board display.
It was created with one of my brand new stamp sets and designer papers!
The stamp is #11156MC "Swirly Butterflies" clear set, and the paper is my #IA-PAC002 Butterflies on Roses designer paper.

I loved how this card turned out, but it wouldn't be nearly as pretty without adding the sweet 72 count Pink Pearls.

Vintage Western Sign with BLING!

One thing you ALREADY know, if you hang your hat around these parts on a fairly regular basis is...   EVERYTHING, and we DO mean, EVERYTHANG...  Looks BETTER with bling!

That's right, I said it.

"YEE HAW"

There's EVEN room for more bling, in the art of vintage looking western signage...

Want2Scrap® has SO many GORGEOUS accessories and patterns of bling that are sure to make the oldest, most grizzled COWPOKE fall in love with Want2Scrap®.  But in CASE you're a doubter, let me take you through a lil' tutorial.  On this ride, you'll learn  how I managed to SPARE the life of one, shabby little piece of ANCIENT barn wood, SAVE it from destruction in the firePLACE at my lil' old ranch, and then transform it to an object of LOVE and enjoyment, to hopefully live out its next 100 years...!

Simply print desired word/s/phrase to desired size and line up on wooden board.

Plan the layout of your sign.  In the plan, anticipate the use of Want2Scrap® bling.  For this design, I fell in love {ALL OVER, AGAIN!} with Classy Corners, by Nina B. {Well, WHO could blame me!}

Be sure to cut off excess paper, and then tape to the front of wooden board.   Trace all edges of printed letters, FIRMLY, with a hard gage pencil.  {I prefer to use a pencil over a stylus for this.} Press FIRM!

An impression will be made in the wood that can be covered and filled, directly, with acrylic paint.

 It's pretty easy to look like an old hand, with this technique, and you're bound to impress the cowpokes in your crew...  {And WHAT a handsome gift this would make!  Eh?}

Yup.  Fellas...   A project so QUICK and easy, it might just MAKE me the Sheriff of BLING...

 So,  if you're up for deputizin'...  {That's BECOMING a deputy of BLING, in case you missed it...}

Go MAKE a sign, BLING it onnnnnnnnnn, and SHARE it on our FACEBOOK page, if ya like!

Or just GIVE it to YOUR favorite cowpoke!  Either way, there's only ONE more lil' thing I have to say...

{'Nuff said!}

*Wink!*

Thanks for checking us out today!  Don't forget to breath in all the newness in the LOVELY Want2Scrap® store!  Hope you'll come back, real soon!

More Thank You Cards

Nina here again with two more Thank you cards. You can see my first one on a previous post. I followed a basic sketch to make it easy to mass produce these post-holiday vintage thank you cards. First, I stitched the Melissa Frances patterned paper on to the card front. I accented the doily with Nestabling Heart Circles Pink Pearl.

W2S-Card

The sentiment is from The Craft's Meow's Stitched Sentiments set. The Red Rose Ribbon 1" was adhered to the center of the bow. The papers, resin and sticker are by Melissa Frances.

W2S-Card-det

I was able to use several from one Nestabling Heart Circles Pink Pearls pack. As you see, I used the smaller one on my card above and the biggest one on the one below.

W2S-Card3

This sketch is also good for using scraps. Here I used a Melissa Frances sticker.

I hope you were inspired to make your own thank you cards by today's post. Thank you for your visit!

We are a Fan of Ava Gavloski

We are loving some of the submissions we've received from our Fans.

Meet Ava Gavloski. Ava calls Ontario, Canada home. She has been scrapbooking for ten years and loves creating with products that feel good, in earthtones and layers, with a vintage style. This year, Ava is looking forward to challenging herself with mixed media this year.

Ava's past creations have been featured in Stampers' Sampler, Take Ten, Just Cards, and Stamp & Scrap Arts. She has designed for Lets Scrap and the Learning Factory.

We are a fan of Ava Gavloski's work! She wrote and shared this beautiful set of cards with us that were recently featured in Stamper's Sampler.

We had lots of fun looking at some other projects on Ava's blog...

Be sure to check out more of Ava's work on her blog or in her gallery at Scrapbook.com. We know you'll be a fan, too. Ava told us she is headed to Costa Rica ... I'm sure that will inspire her to make more ART! Have a safe trip, Ava, and tell us all about it when you get back.

We'd like to be a fan of yours. E-mail samples of your best Want2Scrap projects to Want2ScrapFAN@outlook.com. We'll share several projects throughout the month, and several lucky Fans will receive a box of Want2Scrap goodies!

Mission Accomplished!

Recently my children had a very exciting experience.  They were allowed on the roof to "help" Daddy with some preparations for the new roof (don't worry- they were only up there with an adult close by and never running around.  :).  They were responsible, careful, and handled the situation well, and at the end, each earned $5 for their efforts.  Based on their reactions, you would have thought they completed the roof all by themselves!

I painted the Stylish letters white, then sanded them down to match the style of the papers I chose- I LOVE how well Want2Scrap chipboard takes abuse like sanding!

Thanks for coming by!  Make sure you check out all the new products for 2013!
