Want2Scrap Vintage Birthday with Swirls Finesse

Hello Want2Scrap friends, it is Linda here back on the Blog to share a beautiful shabby vintage  card - vintage and pearls so hand in hand - and the Swirls Finesse are more than perfect - they are a favourite of mine - but I am sure you understand why.  Follow along with the tutorial and you can see how easy they are to use on your projects.

I have used a vintage image from Crafty Secrets, printing it onto white card stock and cut using Spellbinders A-2 Matting Basics B Card Creator Etched Dies, adding some light highlights using Chameleon Pens  and Kindy Glitz/Liquid glitter.

Corrugated card, sponged using white and pink ink for a shabby feel, which works perfectly with the image and the palette.  This has been popped up onto a pre-cut card base, using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L:  E-Z Adhesive Runner, 3D Foam Squares.  The image has been adhered to the card base using double sided tape.

A row of pale pink lace has been glued across the Crafty Secrets image and corrugated card.  Small Mulberry paper roses have been glued to the centre of the lace and Swirls Finesse - lecreme - Self Adhesive trimmed and adhered along the lace.  The computer generated sentiment has been adhered to the top left hand side of the image layer and a postmarks stamped, as shown, using Imagine Rhubarb Stalk.

Hello Want2Scrap© friends, Michelle Hahn here!
The last couple of days I've left the remodel project in the living room and I've been playing in my studio.  I'm a beginner when it comes to mixed media art but it's so fun to step out and do something different.  I pulled out an 8"x10" canvas and started spritzing away with Glimmer Mists and Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays; added in a few stencils with Liquitex Modeling Paste and layered a napkin several times.  I used Want2Scrap Inspire Swirls (SW-1007) to give the butterflies movement and Want2Scrap chipboard word "Inspire."  I hope you will be "Inspired" to step out and do something different.

I Love Summer

Candy here and today I am sharing with you my I Love Summer Card featuring the Beach Umbrella Chipboard Shape.  I created this A2 sized card with paper and ephemera from Echo Park.

I painted the Beach Umbrella Chipboard Shape with gesso and then added Silver Viva Decor 3D Stamp Paint to the umbrella's pole and Apricot Viva Decor Ink Gold to the umbrella.  I adhered to the umbrella to the card front with pop dots and using Art Glitter Dries White Glue added Sand Opaque Glitter at the base of the umbrella.

I sponged the edges of the I Love Summer ephemera with Splash ColorBox Chalk Ink and adhered a Red Bling Heart on top of the heart on the design paper.  Finally, in the upper right corner I added a couple Iridescent Rhinestones and an Orange Rhinestone.

I hope you are loving your Summer!

Summers Forever

Candy here and today I am sharing my Summers Forever Card featuring the Butterfly Chipboard ShapeSilver Rhinestone Inspire SwirlsEndless Waves Beautiful Bling Borders and Enamel Dots.  I created this 6" x 6" sized card with paper and ephemera from Echo Park.  I sponged the edges of the ephemera and yellow paper with Scattered Straw Tim Holtz Distress Ink and the design paper with Toffee Crunch Memento Ink.  For some extra sparkle I added Ranger Diamond Stickles to the flowers on the design paper and ephemera.

Using a craft sponge on the Butterfly Chipboard Shape I added Nuvo Mousse in Peony Pink to the wings and Nuvo Mousse in Cosmic Brown to the butterfly's body/antennas.  It takes about 2 - 3 coats to cover the chipboard completely, but since the Nuvo Mousse basically dries instantly this takes no time at all to achieve the desired results.  I then gently bent the chipboard wings upward slightly and adhered the butterfly's body with adhesive.  I then adhered the Beautiful Bling Borders - Endless Waves! by Nina Brackett near the antennas and the Inspire Swirls by Nina Brackett in Silver Rhinestones at the bottom of the chipboard butterfly, cutting both to fit as needed.  I added Nuvo Crystal Drops Gloss in Carnation Pink and Dandelion Yellow to the wings.

Finally, I added Enamel Dots 8mm Stone Size - Yellow and Enamel Dots 8mm Stone Size - Hot Pink, to the corners as shown.

I hope you are enjoying your Summer.  Have a great day!

Look for Rainbows

Hello Want2Scrap friends, it is Linda here on the Blog, sharing a card using one of the fabulous sets from  Sparkle and Sprinkle - Splish Splash - who have been so very generous to the Design Team.  I do love silhouette stamps and this is right up there with the best - and of course the wonderful sentiment - what is not to love?

I have stamped the Sparkle and Sprinkle image using Imagine Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black. It has been fussy cut/hand cut using scissors and popped up onto a white  Spellbinders Standard Circle SM, also using 3D Foam Squares.

The layered image has then been popped up onto a pre-cut card front using the Labels Forty Nestabilities and stamped with  Seth Apter Spatter Stamp using Imagine Memento Ink in Summer Sky and Teal Zeal.  These layers have been added to A2 Valiant Honor Card Creator Etched Die using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares, and adhered to the precut card base using  E-Z Dots Permanent Refillable Dispenser.

The sentiment has been stamped using Tuxedo Black ink, trimmed, layered onto slightly larger black card stock and adhered using  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: E-Z Dots Permanent Refillable Dispenser.

Finishing with some of the Want2Scrap  72 Count - Teardrop Bling - Silver Rhinestones randomly added to the card front - they work perfectly as rain!
