Sewing-Inspired Friendship Cards

Nina here today with two sewing-inspired cards. Both cards use stamps from the The Craft's Meow's Sew Happy set, which coordinates with Spellbinders' Sewing Elements dies. The first one uses Want2Scrap's Beautiful Bling Borders-Fancy Waves! on the side.

The bling strip is just the perfect accent, along with some lace and buttons.

This card uses Sleek Strips Pearls-White as accent on the dress form's waist. The button card is from The Craft's Meow's Sew Lovely stamp set and die cut with Spellbinders Labels 8.

Happy Birthday to You

Happy Birthday, sweet girl! I'm happy to be sharing today's layout featuring my sweet niece, Sophie, celebrating her first birthday.

This layout features these lovely Want2Scrap products:

I inked the Nestaboard Lacey Oval with brown Tsukineko ink to frame some diecut embellishments.

I love how delicate the Sleek Strip Pearls accent this layout.  I also inked the Birthday chipboard sentiment with brown Tsukineko ink.  The lovely script font makes these chipboard words some of my very favorite products.  Bling swirls add the perfect amount of pazazz to this birthday layout.

What are you celebrating?  Be sure to record your favorite memories with Want2Scrap products.

Hello, How Are You?

Nina here on the blog with a simple friendship card using Nestabling Labels Twenty Five Silver Rhinestone and my favorite Ribbon Rose 1".

I first cut a panel from the Basic Grey paper and adhered that to a red cardstock to show a bit on the sides. I then die cut the center with Spellbinders Labels 25.  I centered the panel on the card front without adhering it and stamped the sentiment (from The Craft's Meow's Stitched Sentiments stamp set)  in the center hole.

W2S-Feb13-1

I popped the card panel using GlueArts U-Cut-It® 4x4 and carefully placed the Nestabling Labels Twenty Five Silver Rhinestone around the frame. Finally, I adhered the Ribbon Rose 1" along the bottom.

With these beautiful embellishments, creating beautiful cards does not take a lot of effort.

Hello Want2Scrap friends!  February is the month of love.  I love fashion photography.  The beautiful models, the gorgeous clothes, and those overstated poses...what's not to love?  Today's layout includes one of my fav photos of Audrey Hepburn.  I wanna wear that hat!

I combined the paper collection, "Traditions", by Carta Bella with these lovely Want2Scrap products:

I love our chipboard albums SO much, I even incorporate them into my layouts.  This big chipboard tag is part of our Tag Album and perfect to anchor my photo.

Guest Designer - Mai Larsen

We would like to introduce our talented Guest Designer, Mai Larsen.

Mai Larsen w/Creando Con Detalles

Hi, my name is Mai Larsen and I am the creator/founder of a Latina group called Creando Con Detalles. I am happily married with four children, currently living in Rock Springs, Wyoming. I’m the Program Manager/Editor for a Spanish Newspaper in our local community called La Roca.
I have always been passionate about crafting, but I have never had so much fun as I have in the past several years. Shortly after my mom passed away in 2008, I was invited to a cardmaking class, and it was love at first sight. I was completely hooked with the idea of using my current crafting skills with my new found hobby of paper crafting.

In 2011, I created a Latina craft group on facebook called Creando Con Detalles. I created the group because I wanted to share my techniques with other ladies. I’m not just a papercrafter, I am a crafter at heart that loves to think outside the box and create projects that will inspire others to do the same.

I share my favorite products with my Latina followers, and introduce them to things that they may not be familiar with. Many of my Latina followers follow my online classes my via ustream channel at www.ustream.tv/creando_con_detalles. My group has ladies from all over Latin America such as: Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Chile, Argentina, and even Spain. I try to teach them something new and amazing each time.

I am a shabby chic and vintage fanatic that loves to use Want2Scrap™ bling, paper flowers, and digital images in just about all my craft projects. I like to take something old and turning it into something new and amazing. To see more of my projects visit my blog.

Join us in giving Mai a warm welcome. Mai will share several projects with us throughout the month.

Update: The paper Mai used - Bo Bunny Gabriella Collection for the notebook and Core'dination a matching color for the cards. For the baby card I used Graphic 45 Little Darling Collection.
